About This Role:
We are seeking a personable and professional individual with a proactive approach to ensuring a functional and welcoming workplace. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining an organized and clean environment, and possessing strong verbal and written communication skills.
The daily responsibilities of this position include warmly greeting and directing visitors, managing telephone communications efficiently, providing comprehensive administrative support, overseeing office upkeep, and handling various other essential duties.

Primary Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):
- Welcome and greet all visitors in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.
- Ascertain the purpose of each visitor's arrival and direct them accurately to the appropriate person or location.
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and presentable reception area.
- Answer, screen, and efficiently forward incoming calls received through the general queue.
- Provide accurate and helpful information to callers, addressing inquiries to the best of your ability.
- Receive, sort, and ensure the timely distribution of incoming mail and deliveries.
- Prepare packages for shipment, including proper packaging and labeling, and manage the stuffing and stamping of outgoing mail as needed.
- Undertake special projects as assigned and when time permits.
- Monitor and replenish office supplies throughout the workplace to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Manage the stocking, maintenance, and basic upkeep of the vending machine.
- Provide assistance with the planning and execution of company events and meetings.
- Empty, refill, and run the dishwasher to maintain a clean kitchen area.
- May also be responsible for performing basic bookkeeping or cashier duties, depending on the specific needs of the role.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related administrative and/or receptionist experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Teams.
- Proficiency in Outlook email and basic office software.
- Bending, lifting to 20 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with multi-line telephone systems.
Travel:
- Occasional local travel for errands such as picking up office supplies.
- Less than 10% travel required.
Wage:
- $16 to $19 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Ability to Relocate:
- Must reside within the Des Moines Metropolitan Area.
Work Environment:
- Primarily a sedentary position.
