We currently have an opening for a Technical Specialist of IT Infrastructure at our Corporate Headquarters, located in Bristol, PA. Unlike a Systems Administrator, the Technical Specialist will partner with the Corporate Director of Infrastructure, our outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP), and internal business stakeholders in support of multiple corporate initiatives versus administering and maintaining internal systems and infrastructure. Administering and maintaining our network and systems is left for the third-party MSP to manage. This position may be hybrid or on-site depending on business needs.
The Technical Specialist of IT Infrastructure will assist with managing various workstreams across numerous projects sponsored at the Corporate level. Projects such as ERP implementations and upgrades, rollout of security features to support CMMC certification, onboarding and assimilating new acquisitions into the portfolio, documentation of various procedures including disaster recovery, and supporting the onboarding/offboarding of employees, among other tasks. Working alongside our corporate third-party MSP to ensure performance, security, and scalability of our network infrastructure, while driving standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of the entire ecosystem. This position reports directly to the Corporate Director of IT Infrastructure and HR Operations.
The ideal candidate for this position should have strong project management experience, high degree of understanding of network administration and cloud environments, as well as proficient in cyber security administration. They must be capable of working with varying levels in the organization, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a myriad of due dates, priorities, and deadlines. This person must also be capable of handling highly confidential information discreetly and with care at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
· In conjunction with our third-party MSP support and occasionally lead infrastructure projects from initiation through completion across multiple sites, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
· Where applicable develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
· Coordinate with outsourced MSP, internal teams, and other external vendors to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
· Successfully manage multiple concurrent projects across various locations in alignment with corporate initiatives.
Facilities & Capital Projects:
· Assist with overseeing facility-related projects such as site expansions/relocation, renovations, equipment installations, and infrastructure upgrades across all sites.
· Ensure capital expense projects are within budget and align with operational needs and long-term business strategy.
· Assist with onboarding and assimilating new acquisitions into the business in coordination with MSP and internal corporate acquisition team members.
Operational & Technical Coordination:
• Collaborate with third-party outsourced corporate MSP to implement cost effective, consolidated, and updated infrastructure solutions across all sites.
• Support MSP with all IT infrastructure projects including network upgrades, systems implementations, and cybersecurity enhancements as needed.
• Assist with deployment of multiple ERP system upgrades in conjunction with site-specific leads, including environment readiness, documentation, coordination of cutovers, validation/testing support, and post-deployment stabilization.
• Ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing operations during project execution.
Compliance & Risk Management:
· Assist MSP with tangential administrative tasks such as provisioning, modifying, and terminating user accounts and access across ERPs, and other business systems in alignment with security policies and audit requirements.
· Along with corporate MSP and CMMC security consultant(s) track, complete, and coordinate responses to security questionnaires and third-party risk documentation requests; gather evidence and route reviews to appropriate stakeholders for submission.
· In collaboration with our MSP ensure effective monitoring and maintenance of all network infrastructure, file management, MFA, cyber security, and all applicable regulations related to CMMC certifications and adherence to qualifying government criteria.
· Assist MSP with designing and developing disaster recovery procedures, and periodic testing to support business continuity objectives.
· Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements, particularly in defense and high-reliability manufacturing environments.
· Assist in identifying project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Financial & Performance Management:
· In conjunction with MSP track project budgets, costs, and expected performance across multiple projects and locations
· Monitor and report on all project status, risks, and outcomes.
· Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets and timelines.
Qualifying Attributes and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, engineering or equivalent related field preferred.
· Certification or equivalent experience in Project Management, Program Management, or implementation of technical projects and/or ERP.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience supporting IT related projects. Project management experience coordinating cross-functional technical work (planning, tracking deliverables, managing risks/issues, and communicating status).
· Experience managing capital expense projects, facility expansions, or infrastructure upgrades across multiple locations.
· Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, or similar); PMP certification is a plus.
· 2-5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure (server, network, and/or cloud operations).
· Working knowledge of Windows Server administration, including patching and troubleshooting.
· Working knowledge and experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware vSphere/Hyper-V) and backup/recovery concepts.
· Foundational networking knowledge and skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching concepts, VPN).
· Experience working in multi-site environments and working with cross-functional teams.
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
· Ability to document procedures, communicate clearly with technical/non-technical audiences, and manage competing priorities.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to be flexible with changing priorities and business needs.
· Ability to travel 10%–25% depending on project needs across all iNRCORE locations.
· Occasional lifting of IT equipment (up to approximately 30 lbs.) and work in data center/closet environments may be required.
