What your day looks like
As the UV Flexo expert on a servo-driven narrow web press, you’ll arrive ready to set up, fine-tune, and run precise label jobs. You’ll mount plates and tooling, dial in impression, lock in color-to-color registration, and validate curing. Through the run, you’ll watch color, cure, and substrate closely—troubleshooting quickly to keep uptime high and waste low. You’ll finish with routine maintenance—cleaning, oiling, and caring for UV lamps—so the next run starts strong.

What you’ll do
- Run a UV flexographic press to meet job specs and quality targets.
- Set up for print and die-cut: install tooling, mount plates, and verify register.
- Load substrates; confirm inks and materials; ensure reliable UV curing.
- Set impression, adjust ink and cure settings, and maintain tight registration.
- Troubleshoot print, curing, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Audit print quality throughout the job; make timely adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance—UV lamp care, cleaning, oiling, minor repairs.
- Follow SOPs and safety protocols for safe, consistent operation.
- Hands-on UV flexo narrow web experience on presses like Mark Andy, Nilpeter, MPS, Omet, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of UV curing systems, inks, substrates, and press mechanics.
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to juggle tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- A continuous improvement mindset focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform press-side duties.
