Job brief

Performs traditional Flexo print rewind functions to convert prime labels.

Responsibilities

• Operate label rewinder to produce job according to specification.
• Prepare machines for slitting and rewinding.
• Load substrate, install tooling and rewind press rolls.
• Ensure that print, die cutting, and label count meet specifications.
• Web press rolls through the rewinder and adjust feed and tension controls.
• Search for and correct problems.
• Inspect labels while rewinding.
• Make quick corrections to avoid expensive losses of substrate.
• Oil and clean the rewinder and make minor repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
  
  

Requirements

• Machine operator experience a plus.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving
• A team player with great communication skills
• Physical strength and stamina – must be able to lift rewound rolls up to 25 lbs.
