What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse PreOp/PACU - Inova Loudoun ASC position at Inova Surgery Center?
Inova Loudoun Surgery Center is currently seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is Full-Time (3x12, 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.), Day shift, no nights, weekends, or holidays. The ideal candidate will have strong experience to support both PreOp/PACU.

Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility providing cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment. We are located on the campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays
- Care for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesia
- Monitor and chart vital signs, such as heart or respiratory rate, blood pressure, or oxygen level
- Comfort patients as they wake; may be required to gently restrain patients
- Check surgical site for excessive bleeding or swelling
- Educate patients on care for the surgical wound or other post-discharge care.
- Cross-train to work in PreOperative area to meet the needs of the unit
EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:
- One or more years of PACU/Critical Care nursing experience in an ambulatory surgery setting or acute hospital
- Prior PreOp and PostOp experience in an ASC is strongly desired
- Graduate from an accredited nursing institution
- Current licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS/PALS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hire
