What are the responsibilities and job description for the GI/Endo Registered Nurse - Franconia-Springfield ASC position at Inova Surgery Center?
Inova Franconia Springfield Surgery Center is currently hiring a Full-Time, GI/Endo Registered Nurse to join the team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Intra-Procedure Assistance: Support the physician with equipment setup, specimen collection, and monitoring the patient’s vitals and comfort during the procedure. Ensure all endoscopic equipment is sterile and functioning properly
- Patient Education and Documentation: Educate patients on post-procedure care, document patient status accurately, and report any changes or complications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one year intra-op experience in endoscopy/gastroenterology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of endoscopic equipment, patient monitoring, and sedation protocols
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or possession of an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon start
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional patient communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
