The Practice Manager - Clinic Operations coordinates coverage and workflows to ensure smooth operations within the practice while serving as an expert for front office administrative processes and procedures. Ensures regulatory compliance to include credentialing of professional/licensed staff and compliance with Medicare regulations and all-payer regulations. Performs financial reviews of the practice and participates in the yearly budget process. Collaborates with the Director of Outpatient Practices or other designated leader to establish common standards.
Practice Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates appropriate troubleshooting/problem resolution skills related to practice processes and workflows.
- Collaborates with the Director of Outpatient Practices or other designated leader to successfully resolve issues within established deadlines.
- Coordinates Provider office schedules. Monitors patient volumes, patient access, and level of patient service to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Ensures regulatory compliance with federal and/or state authorities as well as all other external governing authorities.
- Oversees and monitors the performance of front-end Revenue Cycle functions (i.e. insurance verification, registration, co-pay collection, and charge entry) to ensure compliance with sound accounting practices.
- Partners with related departments such as Physician Billing, Patient Financial Services, and Medical Records to identify opportunities for financial improvement.
- Oversees Outpatient Practice in conjunction with the Director of Outpatient Practices or other designated leader to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but is not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing the performance of team members, and delegating tasks.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience - 1 year of healthcare leadership experience OR completion of a 12-month healthcare administrative fellowship program,
- 2 years of experience in healthcare operations in an ambulatory or hospital setting
- Education - Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer experience in Urogyn
