Duties/Responsibilities

Brief Description

  • Drive revenue growth and profitability across new and existing customers in the West Coast region.
  • Work closely with the regional team on West Coast performance and align with company goals.
  • Manage and grow opportunity pipelines and submit new ideas into innovation pipelines.
  • Represent Inolex at industry events, tradeshows, technical seminars, and client meetings across the region.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and local warehouse on transfers and regional stocking strategies.
  • Partner with clients to continuously educate, support formulation projects, and deliver high-value solutions.
  • Collaborate with brands, consultants, and internal teams to uncover and address customer needs through questioning and understanding customer decision making.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, budgets, precall planning, and call reports.
  • Provide regular customer insights and market feedback to guide product development.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as required to support business and customer needs

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Computer competency: experience with MS Office applications and CRM software.
  • Skilled communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong teamwork and cross-group collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work extended periods of time on one’s own.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory and to company sites in PA and NC for business meetings as needed.
  • Knowledge of ‘Customer Service’ and ‘Sales’ best practices.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a science field (chemistry or engineering preferred).
  • 5 – 10 years of commercial experience in the West Coast personal care industry.
  • Deep knowledge of personal care ingredients, formulation, and market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of the global beauty care industry, market drivers, supply chains, and key accounts.
  • Prior formulation experience or the ability to troubleshoot is a strong plus.
  • Passion for joining an innovative, sustainable ingredient manufacturer
  • Active in relevant industry associations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work remotely from home office and execute travel to customer and on-site company meetings.
  • This role will be subject to approximately 35% travel.

Inolex is seeking a dynamic and passionate Technical Sales Manager to be part of our West Coast regional sales team. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about the beauty and personal care industry, committed to sustainability, and skilled at identifying client needs to deliver thoughtful, value-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate is independent, organized, team oriented, and well connected within the territory. This individual will be responsible for managing key accounts across the western U.S. and collaborating closely with cross-functional departments including Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain based at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, and our flagship manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC.

This is a remote position based in Southern California and requires regular travel within the region.
