InnoVision Marketing Group (IMG)
San Diego, CA | In-Office
At InnoVision Marketing Group, proudly known as The Anti-Agency®, we believe PR is one of the most powerful tools in building modern brands. We are looking for a Jr. Publicist who is hungry to learn, eager to build real skills, and ready to work in a fast-moving environment where standards are high and growth is earned.
This role is ideal for someone early in their PR career who wants to develop strong fundamentals, learn how top-tier publicity is executed, and grow into a confident, capable publicist.
As a Jr. Publicist, you will support PR programs across multiple clients. You will learn how stories are built, how pitches are shaped, how media lists are targeted, and how earned media momentum is created through consistency and follow-through.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting PR planning and execution across assigned accounts
- Drafting and proofreading press releases, media alerts, pitch emails, bios, and talking points
- Building and maintaining media lists with accurate contact info and relevant beats
- Monitoring news cycles, outlet coverage, and relevant trends for client categories
- Assisting with media outreach, pitch tracking, and follow-up communications
- Coordinating interview logistics and preparing briefing materials for spokespeople
- Creating coverage reports, recap decks, and internal status updates
- Supporting event publicity and coordination when applicable
- Maintaining organized documentation, notes, approvals, and version control
- Collaborating with account, social, and creative teams to keep messaging aligned
- Helping ensure PR deliverables are on time, clean, accurate, and client-ready
This role is for someone who wants to learn the right habits early, and who understands that great PR is built on preparation, consistency, and attention to detail.
We can teach the tools. We cannot teach attitude, discipline, or drive. The people who succeed at IMG bring these traits:
- Detail-obsessed. You take pride in clean work with no loose ends.
- An extraordinary communicator. You respond, you clarify, you confirm.
- Coachable. You want feedback because you want to improve.
- Organized. You keep track of moving parts and do not let things slip.
- Positive and professional. You show up with good energy and strong character.
- Curious. You ask smart questions and you want to understand how things work.
- Fast learner. You pick things up and apply them quickly.
- Reliable. When you say you will do something, it gets done.
- Team-first mentality. You support the group and take pride in shared wins.
- High integrity. You protect client information, relationships, and trust.
- 1 to 3 years of PR experience preferred, but we will teach the right candidate
- Strong writing skills and comfort editing for grammar, clarity, and tone
- Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confident communication skills and professionalism in client-facing environments
- Familiarity with media research and basic pitching fundamentals is a plus
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project tracking tools
At IMG, you will learn PR the right way. In-house teams, real collaboration, fast execution, and high standards. If you want to build a career, not just hold a job, this is the environment where you can grow quickly by doing the work, learning from a strong team, and developing real confidence through performance.
If you are ready to be coached, ready to work hard, and ready to earn your spot on a team that takes pride in the details, we want to meet you.

We demonstrate this with the statement that every team member of InnoVision’s management team has advanced to their current positions of Directors and Vice Presidents through promotions.
