MECHANICAL ENGINEER

MECHANICAL ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:
- 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering within heavy industrial, metals, or manufacturing environments
- Proficient in CAD software — SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent — to develop, review, and validate mechanical drawings and models
- Experience interpreting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Proven ability to manage technical projects and work directly with customers and vendors
PLUS SKILLS:
- Bilingual Mandarin proficiency for working with China-based engineering and manufacturing teams
- Experience with industrial metals or metallurgical processes in heavy machinery and steel applications
- Hands-on field service or on-site troubleshooting experience for customer support and equipment installation
MECHANICAL ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate customer requirements into detailed technical specifications and clearly defined scope of supply
- Lead application engineering efforts, including evaluation of mechanical loads, materials, temperature constraints, and operating environments
- Develop, review, and validate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings and CAD models
- Perform reverse engineering and support new product design initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards — ASTM, CSA, DIN, and other international engineering codes
- Coordinate technical communication with global engineering and manufacturing partners
- Review supplier drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with customer and North American standards
- Provide on-site technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Support warranty discussions and technical issue resolution with customers and vendors
- Maintain highly organized engineering documentation, project files, and historical design records
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
