CNC Machinist Night and Day shift

Position Objective

· Proficient in the operation of CNC machines manufacturing precision machined parts.

Scope of role (revenue impact, risk level managed / associated in role, P&L managed, etc.)

· Strives for continual improvement in meeting established quality objectives, key performance indicators, product quality and product delivery.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:

· Thoroughly completes required paperwork (router, first article, dimensional data sheets or other forms / reports) that is legible, accurate and on time.

· Reviews work orders, drawings, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters while interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances in the preparation of setting up and running a job.

· Maintains identification and traceability of all product or raw material.

· Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Skills required:

· Ability to build trust and confidence with management.

· Capable of writing or editing basic programs. Includes programming of mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, includes basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; capable of proving part programs.

· Capable of performing set-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers.

· Proficient in use of precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers for measuring and calculating dimensions & tolerances.

· Ability to build trust and confidence with management.
