The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to help expand our client base and generate new business opportunities. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals.
This position is primarily remote, but candidates must be located in Southern California, as occasional local meetings, networking events, or client visits may be required.
You will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential clients, setting meetings with decision-makers, and working alongside our Sales Engineer to close IT service contracts.
This role offers the flexibility to develop your own prospecting strategies and market focus, while actively generating new opportunities through outbound sales efforts.
Compensation
Base Salary: $75,000 (OTE): $90,000 (Base Commission)
What You'll Do
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and targeted outreach
- Identify and engage key decision-makers within small and mid-sized businesses
- Schedule and conduct discovery meetings with prospective clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and executives
- Collaborate with the Sales Engineer to develop tailored IT solutions
- Prepare and present proposals and quotes
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activity
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of B2B sales experience
- Proven ability to prospect, cold call, and generate new business
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience engaging executives and business decision-makers
- Highly self-motivated with a strong drive to meet or exceed sales targets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business software
- Experience selling IT services, technology solutions, or professional services is a plus
Education
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
