What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restoration Technician – Help Families Recover | $1,200+/Week Potential position at Innovative Restorations?
Restoration Technician – Help Families Recover
Some jobs are just a paycheck. This one gives you the chance to make a difference for someone on one of the worst days they've had.
When a family wakes up to a flooded house, a burst pipe, or major property damage, they don't know what to do next.
That's where you come in.
As a Restoration Technician with Innovative Home Services, you'll be part of the team that shows up when people need help most. You'll remove damaged materials, protect their belongings, dry their home, and help turn a disaster back into a safe place to live.
At the end of the day, you'll be able to see what you accomplished — and know that your work mattered to someone.
You Don't Need Restoration Experience
We're more interested in who you are than what certifications you already have.
If you're dependable, willing to work, enjoy working with your hands, and want to learn a skilled trade, we'll train you.
We'll provide on-the-job training, help you earn industry certifications, and pay to keep those certifications current.
We're looking for someone who wants more than their next job. We want someone looking for a career, a team they can belong to, and an opportunity to grow.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work alongside our restoration team helping homeowners recover from water damage and other property emergencies.
That may include:
- Extracting water and setting up professional drying equipment
- Removing damaged flooring, drywall, cabinets, and other materials
- Taking moisture readings and documenting drying progress
- Protecting customers' homes and belongings
- Cleaning and preparing damaged areas for repairs
- Responding to emergency calls when families need us
- Learning the science and skills behind professional water restoration
This is hands-on work. You'll get dirty sometimes. You'll work in crawlspaces sometimes. And because disasters don't always happen Monday through Friday, some after-hours emergency work is part of the job.
But you'll also be part of a rotating on-call schedule, so you're not on call all the time.
Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, plus rotating emergency/on-call work.
What Can You Earn?
$14–$20 /hour depending on experience, PLUS commissions and bonuses.
For someone who performs well and takes advantage of the incentive opportunities, total compensation can reach $1,200 per week.
We believe people who work hard, learn more, take care of customers, and help the company succeed should have the opportunity to earn more.
We Take Care of Our Team, Too
This isn't a temporary labor position. We want people who can build a career here.
Benefits and opportunities include:
- Health insurance
- Flexible Spending Account
- Supplemental health insurance benefits
- Long-term disability insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- 6 paid holidays per year
- 1 week paid vacation after only 90 days
- Monthly commission opportunities
- Quarterly revenue bonuses
- Annual safety bonus
- Paid training and continuing education
- Paid certification renewals
- Rotating on-call schedule
- Employee discounts across our family of services
- Opportunities to learn a skilled trade and advance
- A family-owned company where your work matters
Who Will Do Well Here?
You may be a great fit if you're the kind of person who:
- Shows up when you say you will
- Takes pride in doing a job correctly
- Likes working with your hands
- Wants to learn new skills
- Can work independently but enjoys being part of a team
- Treats customers and their homes with respect
- Wants responsibility and the opportunity to earn more
- Is looking for a career instead of jumping from job to job
- Can stay calm when someone else is having a really bad day
You don't have to know restoration. We can teach restoration.
We're looking for character, dependability, work ethic, and someone who genuinely wants to help people.
A Few Non-Negotiables
Because our customers trust us inside their homes, our hiring process includes reviewing:
- Valid driver's license and driving history
- Criminal background
- Drug screening
- Employment history
And yes, our interview process has a few steps.
We want to make sure you're a good fit for us — but just as importantly, we want you to make sure we're a good fit for you.
We aren't trying to hire someone for a few months. We'd rather find the right person who can grow with us for years.
Ready to Do Work That Matters?
If you want a job where you can help people, learn a skilled trade, earn a good living, and actually see the difference you made at the end of the day, we'd like to meet you.
Send us your resume and include the words “I want to help” with your application.
It's a simple way for us to know you actually read the ad — and that you're serious about the opportunity.
