Innovative Peening Systems – Braselton, GA

Innovative Peening Systems (IPS) is a growing manufacturer specializing in the design, manufacturing, installation, training, and maintenance of custom shot peening machines for industrial customers across multiple industries. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Millwright / Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Braselton, Georgia.

This position offers hands-on involvement in every stage of machine production—from fabrication and assembly to testing, installation, and customer support.

Position Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly prints
• Fabricate and assemble shot peening machinery and related equipment
• Perform mechanical installation, alignment, and troubleshooting
• Test and inspect machinery to ensure proper operation and quality standards
• Install equipment at customer facilities
• Provide field service, maintenance, and repair support
• Train customers on machine operation and maintenance procedures
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to complete projects on schedule
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience as a Millwright, Mechanical Assembler, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Welding, machining, and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with machine assembly and installation
• Must be willing to travel approximately 30% for customer installations and service work
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must possess a valid U.S. Passport or be able to obtain one
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check

Schedule

• Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Some overtime may be required based on project schedules and travel demands
