As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll work hands-on in our beautiful, contemporary townhome communities, ensuring appliances, systems, and common areas are always in top condition. From leaky faucets to landscaping touches, your work makes our residents feel truly at home.
Responsibilities
General Summary:
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to support daily operations under the direction of the Service Supervisor and/or Community Manager.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies, ensuring resident satisfaction.
Knowledge / Skills / Ability:
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
- Basic math skills to measure, calculate, and track supplies.
- Must be available for after-hours emergency calls as needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General maintenance experience in residential or commercial settings.
- HVAC/R certification preferred.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
Residential Standards
- Complete occupied home service requests in a timely, professional manner.
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems.
- Keep grounds, common areas, and amenities clean and safe.
- Perform seasonal property preparations and inspections.
- Assist with unit turns and make-readies.
- Handle “on-call” duties as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
Community Inspections and Quality Assurance
- Assist with property walks to maintain curb appeal and safety standards.
- Support inspections for new construction, HUD, or annual reviews.
- Report potential hazards or repair needs promptly.
Financial Performance
- Assist in tracking maintenance-related costs.
- Help source and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Use materials efficiently to reduce waste and expenses.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: Dependent on experience. ($18-20 per hour base)
- Competitive compensation package including monthly and quarterly bonuses, health, vision, dental, life insurance, 401K, and discounted rent program.
- Type: Full-Time (Hours vary based on community needs and may include weekends and after-hours emergency service.)
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
