Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager (San Antonio) x2

Our client is hiring a Assistant Construction Project Manager!

We are seeking someone with strong expertise in managing construction projects from initiation through completion. This role will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication while driving quality, safety, and efficiency across multiple projects.

Location: NW San Antonio, TX

Schedule/Shift: Full-time, on-site

Employment Type: 6–12-month contract-to-hire

Pay Rate: $47-$65, W2/hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects remain on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and client specifications.
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Resolve project issues, mitigate risks, and ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer in the construction industry, working larger scale project such as hospital and/or data center projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of construction project scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
