EH&S Area Manager – Industrial Construction & Services
Location: Boise, ID
Contract-to-hire | $55/hr W2 | Conversion salary up to $155K
Innovar Group is seeking an experienced EH&S Area Manager to support safety leadership across multiple active industrial construction and service environments. This role provides regional oversight of site safety performance, supports field EHS teams, and partners closely with operations leadership to maintain compliance across fast-paced, high-risk project settings.
Scope of Work
- Provide regional safety leadership across multiple industrial project sites
- Support and mentor site EHS Coordinators and Site Safety Managers
- Conduct audits, field observations, and compliance reviews across active construction environments
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis with operations teams
- Ensure consistent implementation of company safety programs and client safety requirements
- Coordinate safety training initiatives, orientations, and toolbox programs across assigned sites
- Interface with operations leadership and client safety teams to maintain alignment on expectations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using safety analytics and field performance trends
Required Background
Candidates should come from one or more of the following environments:
- Industrial construction
- Data center construction (preferred)
- Electrical infrastructure projects
- Power generation or utilities
- Pipeline or energy infrastructure
- Mining or heavy civil construction
- Manufacturing or fabrication environments supporting field operations
Requirements
- 5 years of construction or industrial safety leadership experience
- Experience supporting multiple project sites or regional safety programs
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards
- Experience leading investigations, audits, and corrective action implementation
- Ability to mentor and support field EHS personnel
- Strong communication skills with both field teams and leadership
- CHST, STSC, CSP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- MSHA exposure is a plus
