Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager: Monorail & Transportation Projects
Innova is seeking a motivated Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager with strong structural engineering experience who is ready to grow into an Assistant Project Manager role supporting major international transportation infrastructure projects. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on technical design work while developing leadership, coordination, and project management skills.
The Design Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams on small and large transportation projects, contributing to the design and coordination of complex structural systems. Over time, this role will expand into increased project oversight, client coordination, scheduling, and management responsibilities.
This role is designed to build leadership capacity through technical excellence, operational exposure, and structured project management development.
Required Position Capabilities
- Experience in the design of reinforced concrete elements utilizing international design codes such as EURO, AASHTO, and ACI
- Familiarity with structural analysis software including Sofistik, SAP2000, CSi Bridge, SP-Column, and MIDAS preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Masters degree (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
- 3–7 years of relevant structural engineering experience
