This position is Fully onsite.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will:
As a Lab Technician, you will support professional engineering and scientific activities through a wide variety of technical tasks. You will work independently or alongside chemists, engineers, and project leaders to plan, construct, test, and document assignments. This role requires strong problem‑solving skills, the ability to meet aggressive timelines, and a willingness to learn specialized skills such as color matching.
Major Accountabilities
- Follow all Client EH&S and safety guidelines
- Prepare and apply liquid coating products, test coatings against specifications and customer requirements
- Independently plan and organize tasks after discussion with supervisor
- Observe unusual results and suggest potential root causes
- Transition smoothly between projects and adapt to changing priorities
- Apply past experiences to improve efficiency and productivity
- Seek additional assignments and proactively contribute to team goals
- Solve problems within assigned area and escalate when necessary
- Contribute to internal presentations and project documentation
- Learn, understand, and adhere to company policies and processes
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Mechanically inclined; comfortable with hands‑on benchwork and complex equipment.
- Previous experience in a coatings laboratory preferred.
- Color matching experience preferred (or willingness to train).
- Strong math skills: background in high school chemistry preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret complex customer specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $23.00- $25.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
