We are seeking a motivated and versatile Scientist to lead the research and development of recombinant protein and antibody production and purification.
Role Description
This individual will function as an integral member of the InnoCyto team and is a motivated collaborator with strong interpersonal communication skills. Must be a motivated team player and fast learner with commitment to quality, attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Primary responsibilities include performing the projects related to recombinant protein and antibody design, cloning, expression, purification, and functional test.
Qualifications
• Molecular cloning: development of expression constructs, DNA mini and maxiprep.
• Expression and purification of recombinant proteins and antibodies from mammalian, bacterial, or other suitable expression systems.
• Develop, optimize, and scale up production and purification protocols using chromatography, filtration, and related techniques.
• Design and execute experiments to assess protein yield, purity, and functionality (e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA, HPLC, or binding assays).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., conjugation and QC) to ensure smooth project execution and technology transfer.
• Familiarity with antibody production (hybridoma or recombinant) and purification workflows.
• Maintain detailed experimental records, analyze data, and prepare technical reports and presentations.
Preferred skills:
1. Experience with assay development including bioassay development for validating the functionality of recombinant protein and antibody is highly desirable.
2. Experience with immunoassay development including ELISA and multiplex assay development is a plus.
3. Knowledge with protein or antibody conjugation to different fluorophores is a plus.
4. Familiar with data analysis software like Flowjo, Prism Graphpad is a plus.
Education and work experience requirement:
• M.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related field; B.S. with 3 years of relevant industry experience will also be considered.
• Strong hands-on experience with recombinant protein expression (mammalian, insect, or bacterial systems) and purification techniques (affinity, ion-exchange, size-exclusion chromatography, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize experimental procedures.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
