INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Finance and Accounting Specialist (AR/AP).
The Senior Finance and Accounting Specialist (AR/AP) is primarily responsible for managing client billing for media and may also include production. Specifics include client billing, AR collection, vendor payments, reporting (inter-department, client, and accounting) and month-end closing. Additional responsibilities may include ERP software management including reporting, coding, and mapping of accounts as necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process billing transactions including Budget/PO/Actual reconciliation
- Issue billing adjustment invoices and credit memos
- Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing issues
- Client-facing
- Collect payments from various clients
- Process vendor payments
- Prepare client and accounting reports
- Prepare monthly closing report for client and company
- Knowledge of basic excel formulas
- Manage production database (ERP)
REQUIREMENTS
• 2-3 years of experience in finance / working in a similar role
• Knowledge of media billing preferred
• Able to draft a P&L
• Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel)
• Bachelor's Degree required, Finance or Accounting Degree preferred
• Ability to work overtime, especially at month-end
• Strong knowledge of billing and accounting concepts
• Strong analytical skills, detail oriented
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills with clients and other departments
• Capable of making timely, independent decisions
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Ability to work well in an environment with firm deadlines; results oriented
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 annually
Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: experience, transferable skills and training.
