What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Immersion Paraprofessional position at Innocademy Zeeland?
Innocademy Zeeland is a small Y5–8th grade school with a strong family feel. We are looking for a talented and caring Spanish Paraprofessional to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and cultural competence needed to become actively engaged members of their communities and beyond.

We provide an engaging, flexible, and individualized learning environment where creative team members can flourish and students can grow academically.
We accomplish this through innovation, small class sizes, daily Spanish instruction, integrated nature-based activities, and a balanced school calendar.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in supporting individual student needs.
- Support the implementation of daily classroom schedules and activities.
- Assist with tracking student progress and classroom data.
- Provide academic and behavioral support to students.
- Help create an environment focused on the whole child, intentionally supporting each student academically, physically, emotionally, and socially.
- Demonstrate flexibility by wearing many hats, prioritizing responsibilities, and helping solve problems while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
- Communicate with students in Spanish and support the Academy’s Spanish language programming.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Previous classroom or student-support experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
- A positive attitude and genuine interest in supporting children.
Schedule and Compensation
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00a–3:30p
- Hourly position, non-exempt

Pay: $17.00 - $17.54 per hour
