SCHEDULE: 10 Weeks
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
COORDINATES WITH: Spanish Immersion Instructional Staff, Grade Level Instructional Staff
POSITION SUMMARY
Grand Rapids Christian Schools seeks applicants for a Long-Term Substitute Spanish Immersion 4th-grade teacher for the first 10 weeks of the 2026–2027 school year. Applicants must reflect a Christian worldview in their teaching, be familiar with immersion program instruction, and be fluent in Spanish-speaking.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent Christian teaching
Demonstrate effective classroom management
Nurture faith within a community setting
Develop strong relationships with students and parents
Develop and implement Spanish Immersion instruction that:
Integrates Christian faith with learning
Uses best practices in elementary education
Uses best practices specific to immersion instruction
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and understanding of elementary education practice
Fluency in the Spanish language
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Committed relationship with Jesus Christ
