Licensed Counselor

Innerlight Counseling provides evidence based therapy to adults, adolescents and children. We have a skilled clinincal supervision team to help our associates work toward independent licensure and grow clinically.

Providers at Innerlight Counseling specialize in treatment for Trauma, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, OCD, Self-harm, Suicide prevention, and Family counseling. We utilize treatment methods such as, but not limited to; CBT, EMDR, DBT, IFS, Solution-Focused, ART, play, Person-Centered, and Strength-Based Approaches.

Innerlight Counseling provides a supportive, growth-oriented environment, flexible schedules, and an opportunity for hands on experience, supervision, and training from experienced clinicians.

Ideal Candidate:
This position is best suited for a highly motivated therapist who enjoys private practice but does not want the hassle or stress of running their own practice (marketing, billing, scheduling, rent, etc…). It is also suitable for someone who prefers working as part of a collaborative team of therapists, rather than practicing in isolation, and has a passion for individuals with trauma, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.

This position requires a strong work ethic and the desire to provide quality and evidenced based treatment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and developing their skills. A balance of attention to detail, enthusiasm, and warmth is a must.

Requirements:

EMDR training strongly preferred

• Build up to a minimum of 24 client hours per week (plus the additional time needed for case management, consultation & record keeping)
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed
• Willingness to comply with documentation protocol necessary for best practice
• DSM-5 diagnostic competency
• Competency with documenting “medical necessity” in progress notes and treatment plans
• Completion of notes and other required documentation within 24 hours of completion of session.
• Current CPR & First Aid Certifications
• Good standing with Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and current holding of non-independent licensure or application pending
• Possess some knowledge of assessment and crisis intervention and community resources
• Pass background check, drug screen, and active Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Equipment: Must have a smartphone, computer access, and be comfortable with technology.
• Must provide own private practice liability insurance

Compensation & Benefits
This is a contract-based employment (1099) position with growth or a W2 position with health benefits and PTO, your preference.
