What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machinist/Machine Operator position at Inner-Tite Corp.?
Since 1932, Inner-Tite Corp. has served utility companies through the design, manufacture and sale of high quality, innovative mechanical products. Inner-Tite products are proudly manufactured in the United States with the main office and a 100,000 square foot manufacturing plant located in central Massachusetts.
Inner-Tite Corp. has an immediate need for a self-driven, very reliable individual with a safety-first attitude who will be responsible for all forms of machining. The job includes performing milling, turning, drilling and setting up automated machining centers for high volume production of our products with highly accurate tolerances. The ideal candidate will be diligent in monitoring part dimensions during production and adjust the machines tooling, speeds and feeds to assure the parts adhere to the print as well as taking appropriate action when out-of-tolerance parts are found.
Applicants should have an understanding of how to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T and have instrumentation and gaging skills using a wide range of measurement tools/gages. Applicants shall have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a team environment while having problem solving abilities, ability to think outside the box and be acceptable to change and innovation. Applicants should be open to training in all machining stations and cells.
A full set of tools is required, but not at the start of employment. Applicant should have a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Applicants with machining experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
While performing duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Full time, first shift, Monday thru Friday.
