Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits.
- Manage POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate order entry, billing, and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies, following food safety protocols.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure compliance with alcohol service laws.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using POS systems, perform basic math calculations for change, and document sales accurately.
- Uphold food safety standards related to food handling, serving, and sanitation practices across all beverage operations.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of beverages and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Contribute to a lively atmosphere by supporting event activities while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in fine dining establishments or nightclubs is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is essential for smooth transaction processing.
- Demonstrated ability in customer service roles within the food industry or hospitality sector.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience with retail math for cash handling and sales reconciliation.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
