- Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, prepare drink orders for the bar, and restaurant
- Maintain stock, supplies, and cleanliness of outlet and equipment
- Have thorough working knowledge of Micros system -- ordering, check presentation, payment processing, closing reports while reporting all tips
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving
- Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, glassware and garnishes in the restaurant and all menu items (including daily specials), prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation
- Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant
- Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times
- Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment at all times, following all Safety and Health Department guidelines
- Must have flexible schedule including availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience as a Bartender
- Desire to grow within the hospitality industry is preferred
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
- Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once
- Knowledge of fine wines, beer, and liquor
- Alcohol awareness certification (TIPS Training) is preferred
- Knowledge of P.O.S. system, preferably Micros
- Food Handlers Certification, ServSafe Certified is preferred
- Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in other languages helpful
