The Inn at Taughannock Falls is a casual fine dining restaurant located next door to Taughannock Falls State Park, with beautiful panoramic window views of Cayuga Lake. Nine miles from downtown Ithaca, the restaurant is part of the boutique hotel and event center that comprises the Inn's 12-acre estate.
Our servers perform at the highest level and uphold fine dining standards. The menu is comprised of fresh whole foods meals that alter on a seasonal and monthly basis. Servers should understand the menu, participate in all new-menu and service-standard trainings, and operate to health and safety standards at all times.
The restaurant has a beautiful pub-style bar, outdoor deck and table-top firepit, and a one acre event garden with music, firepits, and a two-story outdoor fireplace that is open to restaurant guests when not-in-use by a private party.
The restaurant is open April - November, with potential for December. Restaurant operates Thursday-Monday, and at least one shift a week is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Clear completed courses and meals and dispose of properly in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
