Responsibilities
- Welcome, greet and make guests feel comfortable and valued for the duration of their visit
- Accurately answer questions regarding the food and beverage products we offer, as well as how such products are prepared
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders for guests in a timely manner, using a point-of-sale system
- Inform guests of menu specials and changes
- Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques
- Perform all necessary side work
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations
- Respond promptly and courteously to any guest request
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, properly reconcile guest payment
- Keep a professional attitude and demeanor during all guest interactions
- Assist fellow servers, bartenders and bus persons as situations arise and/or tables require clearing and resetting
- Practice safe/sanitary food handling procedures
- Must be available weekends, weeknights, and holidays
- Must either possess ServSafe certification or obtain it upon hire
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training expected
