Position: Events and Outreach Coordinator
Reports to: Chief Development & Communications Officer (CDCO)
Classification: Full-time, exempt
Salary: $50,000

The Events and Outreach Coordinator is an integral part of the administrative team and manages InMotion’s outreach, volunteers and internal/external events. The ideal candidate must be able to manage and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, be customer and relationship-centered and able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders. Fluid management of projects assigned or proactively sought is critical. Must be able to anticipate needs, clear obstacles, and identify and take ownership of projects that need to be done.
Essential Job Functions
Specifically, this position will:
· Act as InMotion’s representative at external outreach events
· Assist CDCO with implementation of communications and marketing strategies, including social media, events communications, and weekly/monthly email newsletters
· Assist CDCO in maintaining and updating collateral materials
· Identify target audiences and develop initiatives to foster a community of supporters and maintain a database of referrals for other community resources and services
· Coordinate organization events and presentations to promote the organization’s mission, educate the public, encourage community involvement and raise funds
· Conduct new client orientation sessions in coordination with several staff members
· Recruit volunteers to serve across the organization (front desk volunteers, volunteer coaches, special event volunteers, etc) and train and manage all special event volunteers
· Plan and execute Volunteer Recognition
· Maintain volunteer software and calculate monthly volunteer hours in conjunction with Program Manager and Administrative Assistant
· Update volunteer handbook as needed
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience
· Ability to lead and administer projects of importance to InMotion
· Ability to problem-solve and exercise discretion and judgment when dealing with issues related to clients’ challenges and needs
· Ability to connect with people from a variety of backgrounds
· Proficient in Microsoft 365
· Proficiency in Canva is a plus
· Familiarity with volunteer management software
· Proven organizational skills
· Effective communications skills and a professional attitude
· Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple priorities
· Excellent project management skills
· Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission driven and self-directed
· Demonstrated sensitivity and compassion for people with chronic disease
