Responsibilities
- Assist the Account Manager team with research, administrative tasks, and customer service support for all accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing commercial, residential, and industrial contractor accounts by representing Inline Electric Supply Company's product lines and offering exceptional customer service via email, phone calls, and written correspondence.
- Stay up to date on product information, procedures, pricing, delivery schedules, inventory availability, back-order procedures, and any value-added product details.
- Support and promote the company sales plan while accurately recording all IMARK activities to align with the plan.
- Assist in maintaining profitability quotas and achieving designated sales goals for the assigned territory.
- Identify and assess problem accounts in the assigned territory and collaborate with Inline Electric or supplier personnel to develop strategies and resolutions.
- Proactively provide product information and recommendations during supplier meetings to meet customer needs.
- Maintain proper interactions with customers and the company credit department to facilitate positive credit practices while nurturing customer relationships.
- Assist with or have functional knowledge of take-offs from electrical drawings and submit them to the appropriate quotation team.
- Exercise independent thought, discretion, and judgment in supporting the company’s marketing and sales objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager or leadership team.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently or within a team
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field (preferred)
- 2-5 years of prior electrical sales experience may substitute for educational preferences
- No history of drug or alcohol abuse
- Valid driver's license with an approved clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, pull, push, or carry 30 lbs. or more
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
