Job Title: Laser Operator

Reports To: Laser Department Lead

ROLE:

You will operate our Amada, Mazak, and IPG Photonics lasers. We’ll often schedule long jobs to run concurrently with short jobs so multiple machines can be operated at once by one operator. You’ll set up the machines, verify the programs are correct, and adhere to our quality policies to ensure the parts you make are good.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Safely, efficiently, and effectively set up and run our lasers

· Follow setup sheets and help revise old ones or generate new ones when needed

· Produce good parts on-time. You are responsible for the quality of every part you produce.

· Interact with our ERP system correctly (punching in and out of jobs)

· As with all that work at Inland, help your fellow departments when they get in trouble

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· 3 years’ experience as a laser operator and able to run at least one type of our lasers

· Must be able to read and follow blueprints/drawings

· Must be able to properly use relevant inspection equipment such as calipers and height gages.

· Physical strength to repetitive lifting and carry 25 lbs.

· Amada NC punch and/or Omax water-jet experience a strong plus

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
