Position Overview
A well-established Hawaii-based organization operating across multiple visitor destinations is seeking an entrepreneurial and results-oriented Director of Sales. This leader will identify innovative ways to increase visitation, visitor spending, and revenue across retail, experiential, and other sales channels. Working closely with executive leadership, the Director will use data, market insights, and creative thinking to pursue new opportunities, expand strategic partnerships, and improve sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative, data-informed strategies to increase visitation, visitor spending, and revenue.
- Identify and test new revenue opportunities, strategic partnerships, distribution channels, and sales programs.
- Use performance data, market research, and visitor insights to guide decisions and measure results.
- Build relationships with tour operators, travel trade organizations, transportation providers, visitor attractions, and other industry partners.
- Optimize revenue across retail operations, visitor experiences, and other earned-revenue channels.
- Establish performance metrics and evaluate the return on investment of sales and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate across operations, retail, marketing, and executive leadership to turn new ideas into executable growth initiatives.
- Manage sales budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Lead and develop a small sales team.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing, Travel Industry Management, Business, or a related field.
- Five or more years of sales and marketing management experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors is strongly preferred: Tourism, Hospitality, Visitor Attractions, Museums, Cultural Institutions, Nonprofit Organizations and Retail Operations
- Demonstrated success growing revenue, developing partnerships, and executing sales and marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Entrepreneurial and action-oriented leadership style, with the creativity, initiative, and drive to test ideas and deliver results.
Compensation: Base salary up to $130,000 plus performance-based bonus opportunity.
