Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions accurately while upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, handling food safely, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable and cash registers
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; familiarity with food handling, sanitation, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to provide expert recommendations and upselling opportunities
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
