At InJoy Thrift Store, every purchase makes a difference.

We are a Christian operated thrift store dedicated to serving our community and supporting local and international ministries.

As a cashier, you’ll often be the first and last person our customers meet. More than simply operating a register, you’ll have the opportunity to create a welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels valued, respected, cared for, and most importantly feels the love of Jesus.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome every customer with kindness, warmth, and a friendly smile.
• Provide excellent customer service in a Christ-centered environment.
• Accurately process purchases through the register.
• Handle cash, credit card, and electronic transactions responsibly.
• Answer customer questions and assist them in finding merchandise.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area.
• Restock supplies around the register as needed.
• Communicate with store leadership regarding customer needs or concerns.
• Support fellow team members and volunteers throughout the day.
• Help create an enjoyable shopping experience for every guest while showing Christ’s love.

Qualifications

Preferred but not required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous cashier experience
• Previous customer service experience
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform light cleaning and stocking duties

Schedule

• Part-time
• Off every Sunday
• 4-8 hour shifts
• Weekend availability required

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
