Director of Operations – Physician Practice
Position Type:
Full time, on site position working from our Blue Bell office location which is roughly 10 minutes from the Plymouth Meeting Mall at the intersection of 276 and 476
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field or clinical degree with at least 10 year’s experience in a management role
· At least five (5) years successful management experience in a Physician practice back office operation
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
· Excellent attention to detail and organization.
· Effective speaking and writing skills.
· Commitment to confidentiality and respect.
· Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
· Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
· Superior knowledge of industry regulations and operational guidelines
· Understand and embrace a customer service focus.

Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for hiring, training and overseeing of administrative personnel involved in day to day operations of Hospital based practice – EM, Hospital medicine, ICU and Post-acute care
· Responsible for recruitment, credentialing, payor enrollment, contracting and scheduling, physician billing oversight.
· Develop budgets, establish and apply established policies and procedures, and insure development and implementation of efficient workflow processes in all areas of responsibility.
· work closely with Site Medical Directors and account managers/coordinators
· Report to Co-CEO’s
· interact closely with others on the senior management team to drive the success of corporate initiatives, practice development and key organizational goals.
· Ability to step in as Practice Manager when needed.
· Working with the human resources department to create job descriptions, hire competent personnel and oversee employee training programs
· Collaborating with human resources to develop and implement staff evaluation parameters
· Develop and monitor site budgets, initiating cost reduction measures or business growth models as applicable.
· Demonstrate the ability to solve problems through organization, review and proper selection of standard protocol and procedures, and the use of available resources.
· In Collaboration with account managers/coordinators, provide human resource management services for covered sites including but not limited to recruitment, credentialing, payor enrollment, orientation and support.
· Address performance and/or behavior issues of administrative personal appropriately
· Complete annual performance evaluations
· Ensure smooth operation in practice
· Involve the human resources department appropriately in employee relations issues coach, counsel and support employees and lead by example.
· Responsible for the identification and development of revenue opportunities, physician relationship building, practice building and expansion, and overall site(s) and practice enhancement.
· Travel to client sites with overnight stay might be required.
Compensation:
Annual salary of $100,000-130,000 per annum with benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, AD&D, 401k match.
Physical Demands of the job:
The physical demands for a Director of Operations are generally moderate, primarily involving standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for office tasks. This role may require occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.
