What are the responsibilities and job description for the Box Maker position at Ingomar Packing Company Llc?
Job Summary: Responsible for assembling of wood and/or plastic bins and performing other duties.
Essential Function:
- Assemble wood bins. Bin parts weigh from 50 – 70 lbs.
- Inserting carboard and plastic liner bags into bins.
- Pushing empty bins down production line.
- Placing wood and/or plastic lids on top of filled bins.
- Operate strapping and conveyor equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties of equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Requires the ability to follow verbal and written commands, work with others, and the ability to coordinate production with peers.
- Requires the ability to work any shift.
- Must be able to stand 7 hours.
- Must travel up and down 15 steps minimum at least 15 times per shift.
- Must be able to consistently lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to use hands and feet in full range of motion.
- Pulling, pushing, some twisting and bending is required.
- Be able to operate air and hand tools.
- Must have good hand and eye coordination skills.
- Must be able to work around moving equipment.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work on platform, which includes uneven surfaces (roller, plates, and steps)
- Requires the ability to pass a pre-employment agility test.
- Requires the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
