What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation position at INGOMAR PACKING COMPANY LLC?
Job Summary: Clean and sanitizes production lines, production equipment and plant areas according to the Sanitation Schedule.
Essential Function:
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and belts
- Cleaning floors, walls, other areas as needed
- Use high pressure and low-pressure hoses to clean surface
- Clean processing machines and areas using proper lock out/tag out procedure
- Use approved chemical to sanitize areas
- Keep work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned
- Work in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements
- Other cleaning and sanitizing duties are required
Requirements:
- Requires the ability to follow verbal and written commands, work with others, and the ability to coordinate production with peers.
- Requires the ability to work any shift.
- Must be able to stand 7 hours.
- Must travel up and down 50 steps a minimum of 4 times per shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must climb ladders.
- Must be able to use both hands and arms in full range of motion.
- Pulling, pushing, some twisting and bending is required.
- Must be able to work with chemicals.
- Must be able to work around moving equipment.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work on platform, which includes uneven surfaces (roller, plates, and steps).
- Requires the ability to pass a pre-employment agility test.
- Requires the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
