Overview
Our growing local catering company, Ingle Eats, is looking for part-time and full-time help to support our daily operations. We are interested in motivated individuals who have a passion for foodservice and hospitality, and want to be a part of a dedicated team. We have openings in our commissary kitchen as well as on LSU's campus at many of our Greek houses that we cater to daily. We are looking for dishwashers, prep cooks, line cooks, delivery drivers, on-site event catering help, and much more. Some typical duties:
- Assist with food preparation, including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Support meal preparation by cooking, plating, and ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment regularly
- Follow food safety protocols related to handling, storage, and sanitation to prevent contamination
- Delivering meals or catering needs to local clients
- Assist in event organization, setup and execution
- Assist in catering events by preparing food items and serving as needed to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
- General knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and proper sanitation practices
- Basic culinary skills including knife techniques such as slicing and dicing
- Ability to operate common kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and support team efforts
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food safety management and catering operations
