About The Role
Assists teachers in district classrooms for the cognitively impaired and / or physically impaired by performing a variety of duties designed to carry out individual student education programs and positive behavioral support.
- Assists in daily classroom routines and facilitates students’ participation in all activities including but not limited to : self-care, mobility, ambulation, defined health procedures, and swimming.
- Implements classroom and / or individual student behavior intervention strategies under the direction of classroom teachers.
- May operate various lifts, instructional or adaptive equipment and assistive technology devices.
