Play a key role in delivering robust, high-performance products that keep critical industries operating around the globe.

In this hands-on role, the Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate with a talented team of designers and engineers to develop smart, efficient, and reliable solutions. Bring your hands-on experience with rotating equipment design, and /or fluid dynamics and analysis, coupled with materials selection and it will help you hit the ground running. Your insights and decisions will contribute to solving real-world challenges and pushing the boundaries of innovation. You’ll help lead with your subject matter expertise and mentor the design team to meet both customer requirements and manufacturing goals. This is a great opportunity to apply your engineering judgment and technical expertise to moderately complex mechanical design challenges. You’ll support analysis, testing, and integration of mechanical systems—with guidance from senior engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Perform Engineering design calculations in support of product design requirements.
  • Communicate product design requirements to the Designer Team and approve drawings, models prepared by the Designer Team prior to release.
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives including Cost Out and Standardization
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Test, Aftermarket & Field Service, as required.
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Rotating Machinery, or related field).
  • 4 years of years of experience in an engineering role of OEM equipment.
  • 3 years of experience with with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering principles, CAD software, and industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability and Innovation: Flexibility to adapt to changes, openness to new ideas, and drive for continuous improvement.

Preferences:

  • Rotating machinery design experience
  • Fluid systems design experience
  • Knowledgeable with Solidworks & ePDM, or equivalent
  • Basic AutoCAD 2D/3D and FEA knowledge
  • Experience with project management and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
