Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a stron background in CAD design to join our team. This rol will play a key part in designing our custom covers, supporting our maintenance operations and driving continuous improvement in both quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage detailed CAD models and technical drawings for custom equipment covers.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot design issues and improve product functionality.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics and drafts.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet production standards.
  • Utilize project scheduling tools to manage timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout the design process.
  • Travel to customer sites ( up to 20%) to conduct equipment measurements and evaluate design fit and performance.
  • Serve as a technical liason between engineering, production and customer teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software is essential.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience with industrial equipment or automotive supplier environments is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
