What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Vision Engineer position at Ingenix Technologies, Inc.?
What you'll do
- Develop computer vision algorithms for object detection, segmentation, tracking, registration, or scene understanding
- Work with image, video, point cloud, mesh, RGB-D, LiDAR, or synthetic data depending on project needs
- Train, evaluate, and refine machine learning models for perception and spatial understanding tasks
- Build data processing pipelines for collecting, cleaning, labeling, and evaluating visual datasets
- Integrate computer vision capabilities into simulation, XR, or training software systems
- Communicate model performance, limitations, and technical tradeoffs to engineering teammates and stakeholders
- Experience developing computer vision or machine learning solutions in Python
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar tools
- Understanding of object detection, segmentation, feature extraction, camera geometry, or 3D perception concepts
- Ability to evaluate model performance and work through real-world data limitations
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Experience with 3D object detection, scene understanding, point clouds, LiDAR, RGB-D, or mesh/model analysis
- Experience with OpenCV, ROS, CUDA, synthetic data generation, or simulation-based datasets
- Familiarity with XR, robotics, geospatial, digital twin, or defense training applications
- Experience deploying models into production software or edge computing environments
- Active DoD Secret clearance
