What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Editor position at Magnetic Vision?
We are seeking a talented Video Editor to transform raw footage into polished, engaging videos. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and proficient in modern editing tools. You will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to produce videos that highlight our brand and services.
The ideal candidate has an exceptional understanding of short-form storytelling, audience retention, platform trends, and the editing techniques that drive millions of views.
Core Responsibilities:
- Add captions, motion graphics, transitions, music, sound effects, and other creative enhancements that elevate content performance.
- Edit a variety of creator content including organic social posts, sponsored brand collaborations, campaign deliverables, and other marketing assets.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop storyboards and video concepts.
- Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent style.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Apply color correction, audio enhancement, and visual effects to create a professional final product.
- Manage your own timelines and flag risks early when scope, footage, or schedule shifts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience working in Adobe Premiere Productions workflow or similar non-linear editing software team projects.
- Previous experience in video editing required (5 years).
- Work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects.
- Proficient in color grading, experience color grading in Davinci Resolve is a plus.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong understanding of social media storytelling, audience retention, platform optimization, and current editing trends.
