Position Overview
The Junior Project Engineer supports customer and supplier quality activities by applying basic engineering and quality methods under close guidance. As an entry-level role within the Competence Center, the position contributes to project delivery through structured execution, data support, and documentation, while developing core skills in automotive quality, supplier development, and project work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customer and supplier projects related to quality, production, and supplier development
- Assist with automotive quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA
- Help identify, document, and analyze quality issues and support root cause analysis (e.g., 8D)
- Collect and analyze quality and production data; support KPI reporting
- Prepare technical documentation, inspection plans, reports, and presentations
- Support audits, assessments, workshops, sampling, and production readiness activities
- Coordinate assigned tasks under the direction of project leads or senior consultants
- Follow defined standards, processes, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field), completed or expected within 6–12 months
- Internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in manufacturing, quality, or production preferred
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and automotive quality standards/tools
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
