Training Schedule

First Week Training:
Monday–Thursday | 4:30 PM – 12:30 AM

Regular Shift Schedule

• Monday–Wednesday: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Plus one of the following schedules:
• Thursday: 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM, OR
• Saturday: 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technicians to join a pharmacy fulfillment team in Bolingbrook, IL. This role involves prescription data entry, medication fulfillment, inventory processing, quality control, and supporting pharmacists in a fast-paced environment.

Pharmacy Technicians who are eligible to obtain a license/registration in the State of Illinois are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Process new patient registrations and enter information accurately into the appropriate system.
• Enter prescription requests and refill orders while following HIPAA guidelines.
• Review prescriptions and obtain missing or incomplete information when necessary.
• Interpret medical abbreviations and prescription instructions (SIG codes).
• Resolve prescription data entry exceptions and discrepancies.
• Research and resolve insurance billing issues and third-party claim rejections.
• Contact patients, physician offices, pharmacies, or other relevant parties when additional information is needed.
• Count, fill, label, pack, and prepare prescriptions for shipment.
• Operate automated pharmacy fulfillment equipment and machinery.
• Sort medications and move inventory through various workflow stages.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist pharmacists and escalate prescription-related questions when appropriate.
• Communicate operational issues to senior team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Technician experience preferred; 2–4 years of experience is highly preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician license, registration, certification, or eligibility to obtain registration as required by the State of Illinois.
• Basic computer and PC skills.
• Ability to navigate web browsers, online forms, and search engines.
• Intermediate keyboarding skills of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work the required overnight and flexible schedule.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, fulfillment, or prescription processing environment.
• Experience with prescription data entry and insurance claim processing.
• Experience providing customer service while meeting quality and productivity standards.
• Intermediate to advanced keyboarding skills of 35 WPM.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with medication fulfillment, packaging, and shipping.
