Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Inspector/Packer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting products for quality, ensuring packaging meets standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of products to verify quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications using production documents and technical knowledge.
- Operate packaging equipment efficiently, ensuring products are securely packed according to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Handle materials safely, including heavy lifting and proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts when required.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with industrial equipment and packaging machinery to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OSHA standards.
- Interpret production documents accurately, including assembly instructions and quality control checklists.
- Support warehouse operations by managing materials handling tasks and ensuring proper storage of finished goods.
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing facilities or packaging environments is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and packaging machinery.
- Familiarity with GMP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and safety standards in production settings.
- Ability to interpret production documents and follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and quality assessments.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus; certification preferred.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols, including heavy lifting techniques and industrial safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability for standing, walking, lifting heavy items, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
