Job Description
We are hiring Production Operators for a manufacturing facility in Austin, TX. Production Operators will perform hands-on manufacturing and material-handling activities while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and compliance.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
Responsibilities
- Perform production line and material-handling activities as assigned.
- Operate manufacturing equipment and perform manual production tasks.
- Inspect components, materials, documentation, and finished products.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, and production instructions.
- Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
- Perform lot changes, line clearances, cleaning, and other production activities.
- Identify and properly handle non-conforming or rejected products.
- Meet established production, quality, and labor standards.
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and clear equipment jams.
- Make minor mechanical adjustments when trained and authorized.
- Monitor product, process, and equipment performance according to established procedures.
- Communicate quality, material, process, or equipment issues to supervisors and team members.
- Work effectively with team members to solve problems and meet production goals.
- Follow cGMP requirements, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous-improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. independently and up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to perform physical production work, including standing and walking, as required by the assignment.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety footwear and hearing protection.
- Prescription safety glasses may be required where applicable.
- Some assignments may require occasional outdoor work and exposure to outdoor elements.
- Must be able to work the assigned shift and meet production requirements.
Pay: $19.00 - $19.80 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Work Location: In person
