(ITE) has delivered top-tier Engineering Design, Construction Management & Inspection, Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Transit Engineering, and Surveying services throughout the New York Metropolitan Area.We proudly support numerous public infrastructure clients including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), New York City Transit (NYCT), Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), and other regional and municipal agencies.As we continue to expand our portfolio of transit and infrastructure projects, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Office Engineer / Change Order Co-Ordinator for high-profile NYCT assignments.Roles and Responsibilities Maintain project documentation and logs (Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, Payments, CPM schedules, NCRs, etc.) using A-Site / Unifier or other MTA systems.Lead the change-order process, scope clarification, entitlement review, pricing support, time-impact analysis, and preparation of complete CO packages.Work collaboratively with the PM, RE, inspectors, scheduler, safety staff, and other coworkers to align field conditions with contract requirements and support accurate documentation.Support negotiation efforts with contractors by preparing cost breakdowns, quantity takeoffs, schedule impact summaries, and justification documents.Review shop drawings, submittals, plans, and specifications to ensure contract compliance and identify change impacts early.Coordinate with field teams to verify installed quantities and collect supporting information for change-order pricing and monthly payments.Assist with contract administration, including invoice review, progress payment documentation, and claims tracking.Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, reports, and project correspondence for internal teams and MTA client distribution.Support project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, warranties, punch list tracking, and turnover deliverables.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 5 years of Office Engineer / Change Order coordination experience on transportation or infrastructure projects.MTA Track Safety and OSHA-30 certifications required.Experience working with NYCT / MTA / LIRR / Amtrak or similar public agency projects.Strong skills in change-order development, cost analysis, documentation, and schedule impact support.Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to coordinate with project staff, contractors, and client representatives.Proficiency in A-Site / Unifier and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Salary : $104,000 - $124,800
