Java Application Developer

Infosys is seeking a Java Developer with experience in Elastic Search, Kafka and Microservices - In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture knowledge and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. You will play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of San Jose/CA, Richardson/TX, Raleigh/NC, Hartford/CT, Indianapolis/IN or be willing to relocate to these locations. This position may require relocation and or travel to project locations.

• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.

• Proven years of experience in Java, Spring boot, Microservices, Elastic Search and Kafka

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in building complex systems involving high volumes and high performance/throughput expectations

• Strong experience in Code coverage, Unit Test and debugging skills

• Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams to iron out integration needs

• Software development leveraging Agile Scrum methodology

• Committed to developing high quality code, with speed and willingness to go the extra mile

• Exposure in development and deployment to private/public cloud, DevOps experience

• Ability & prior experience in performing a techno-functional role, anchoring technical solutions, working with Business stakeholders to understand the requirements, study existing applications/technical landscape, and collaborate with IT Architects to define technical solution keeping in mind the various integration touchpoints with existing operational systems.

• Ability to guide the implementation teams spread across multiple time zones, through the implementation of the technical solution, based on project plan

• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder collaborative environment.

• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery model & eagerness to pick up new technologies & product skills on the job.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

Estimated annual compensation range for candidate based in the below locations will be -

San Jose, CA - $90,751 to $146,415
